I’m currently on a winter break—custom keepsakes will be lovingly made again from the beginning of September.

The art of

pressed Flowers

On this page, you’ll find a simple step-by-step guide to ordering your custom floral keepsake — from choosing your frame and taking your baby’s prints, to how I create your artwork and send it to you.

You’ll also find helpful answers to frequently asked questions at the bottom of the page, covering topics like shipping, framing options, gift vouchers, and how to care for your keepsake.

how it works
Step 1

Browse my gallery to choose your preferred frame and label colour – I keep it updated with my latest creations.

Step 2

Order your keepsake online, or simply get in touch with me if you’re unsure which option is right for you — I’m happy to help.

Step 3

To capture your baby’s prints, you can use paint, an inkless kit, or simply scan their hand and foot. Please make sure the prints are on an A4 sheet. Once taken, photograph the prints with your phone, making sure all four corners of the paper are visible—this helps me create life-size keepsakes. Then, send the photo to me via email.

Step 4

I handcraft your life-size keepsake using real pressed flowers, carefully selected for colour and detail. You’re welcome to share your favourite blooms, and I’ll do my best to include them. After everything is cleaned and framed, I package it safely and send it off to you.

FAQ

All your questions answered here. And if you still have questions, send me a note!

To ensure the prints are life-size, I work from a clear photo or scan of your baby’s hand and footprints placed on an A4 sheet of paper. As long as all four corners of the page are visible, I can accurately recreate them at their true size—preserving every tiny detail in your floral keepsake.

Please allow 2 weeks for your artwork to be finished.

Yes! I ship New Zealand-wide and can courier your finished artwork for a flat rate of $10. If you’re in Nelson, you’re also very welcome to pick up your keepsake in person.

I also offer international shipping — costs vary depending on the destination country. Please contact me for an accurate quote. Any customs fees or taxes upon arrival are the responsibility of the recipient and are unfortunately out of my control.

Yes! You can purchase a gift voucher here. It’s a thoughtful gift for baby showers, new mums, birthdays, or Mother’s Day. After purchase, I’ll email you a personalised voucher to print or forward. It includes framing and shipping, so the recipient won’t have to do a thing.

Yes, I do offer a package discount! If you order 3 or more frames, you’ll receive a 10% discount. Feel free to get in touch for more details!

To keep your floral keepsake looking its best, find a shady spot away from direct sunlight and damp areas, as these can cause fading or damage. Gently dust the glass with a soft, dry cloth when needed. Handle the frame with care, and enjoy your unique piece for years to come!

The color of the flowers will naturally evolve over time, with some changing more than others, adding to the poetic charm of the piece. To ensure the best preservation, keep it out of direct sunlight and away from humidity. For even greater protection, I offer a UV glass option for the larger wooden frames.

The frame is designed to stand on its own, but it also has a small lip at the back, so it can easily be hung on the wall if you prefer. Just choose the option that works best for your space!

For bigger projects like wedding bouquet preservation or floral artwork, I offer high-quality wooden frames for hanging, handcrafted by a local framer. If you have something special in mind, feel free to send me a message—I’d love to hear your ideas!

Yes! I also create custom floral frames using meaningful blooms—like wedding bouquet preservation, memorial pieces, floral paw prints, and kiwiana keepsakes. In addition, I’ve produced fine art prints of my pressed flower artwork, which are available to purchase. If you have a special idea or flowers you’d like to preserve, just reach out—I’d love to bring it to life.
