how does it work?
Simply personalise your baby keepsake by choosing your frame and writing colour, take your baby’s hand and footprint on A4 using an inkless kit, paint, or a scan, and photograph it from directly above with all four corners visible. Email the photo to nelsonflowerpress@gmail.com, and I’ll lovingly create your keepsake and send it straight to your door.
How Do You Get The Right Size For The Baby Prints?
To ensure the prints are life-size, I work from a clear photo or scan of your baby’s hand and footprint placed on an A4 sheet of paper. As long as all four corners of the page are visible, I can accurately recreate them at their true size – preserving every tiny detail in your floral keepsake.
What Is The Best Way To Take My Baby's Hand & Footprint?
The easiest and cleanest option is an inkless print kit – it’s mess-free, non-toxic, and safe from birth. I have these available and you can easily add one to your order. You can also use paint, an ink pad, or simply place your baby’s hand and foot on a scanner if that’s easier for you.
What If My Baby’s Hand Won’t Open Completely?
That’s completely fine! Many babies don’t fully open their hands, and I can absolutely work with the print as it is, filling in any small gaps with flowers while keeping the natural shape. If your little one is wriggly and it’s tricky to get a clear print, I recommend using the inkless print kit and taking the print while your baby is calm – for example, during sleep or while nursing.
How Long Will It Take?
Your keepsake is lovingly created within around two weeks. Once complete, please allow 2–4 days for domestic shipping within New Zealand and 5–10 days for international delivery.

Do you offer gift vouchers?
Yes — I offer a Gift Pack, a heartfelt gift for baby showers, birthdays, Mother’s Day or just because. It’s redeemable for a custom baby, toddler or sibling keepsake made with real pressed flowers and personalised with name and date of birth. The pack includes a non-toxic, mess-free inkless print kit (safe from birth), the finished framed keepsake, and NZ-wide shipping — so the recipient doesn’t need to pay or organise a thing.
Can I choose the flowers or colors used?
The keepsakes look most vibrant when I can use a mix of all the flowers and colors available – my eye naturally guides me to what works best together. But if you have any certain colors or flowers in mind, just let me know and I’ll do my best to include them!
How do I take care of my keepsake frame?
To keep your floral keepsake looking its best, find a shady spot away from direct sunlight and damp areas, as these can cause fading or damage. Gently dust the glass with a soft, dry cloth when needed. Handle the frame with care, and enjoy your unique piece for years to come!
Do the flowers keep their colour?
The colors of the flowers will naturally evolve over time, with some changing more than others, adding to the poetic charm of the piece. To ensure the best preservation, please keep your artwork out of direct sunlight and away from humidity. For maximum protection, you can upgrade your order to include museum-grade glass with 99% UV protection.
Can the frame be hung on the wall?
The frame is designed to stand on its own, but it also has a small lip at the back, so it can easily be hung on the wall if you prefer. Just choose the option that works best for your space!
Do You Offer Bigger Frames?
For bigger projects like wedding bouquet preservation or floral artwork, I offer high-quality wooden frames for hanging, handcrafted by a local framer. If you have something special in mind, feel free to send me a message—I’d love to hear your ideas!
Do you create anything besides baby keepsakes?
Yes! I also create custom floral frames using meaningful blooms – like wedding bouquet preservation, memorial pieces, floral paw prints, and kiwiana keepsakes. In addition, I’ve produced fine art prints of my pressed flower artwork, which are available to purchase. If you have a special idea or flowers you’d like to preserve, just reach out—I’d love to bring it to life.
Do you sell pressed flower packs?
Yes! I offer Pressed Flower Packs with 50 real hand-pressed flowers and foliage pieces, carefully pressed in New Zealand. They’re perfect for resin art, scrapbooking, card making, journaling, and other creative projects. As every flower is unique, each pack will vary slightly in colour and selection, making every pack one of a kind. You can order yours here.
